Graduation work of Man Wei from Musashino Art University. In ”I Remember” the juxtaposition of art styles was not only used as a narrative device, but also directly and organically as part of the story itself. The characteristics of animation was used to create an indirect metaphor for growth through the changes in painting style. As the style of the painting changed, a story is told from a childhood dream of becoming a painter, and information is collected from the dream about people, places, and incidents related to these memories. As a result of this process, a childhood was painted in a style of its own incorporating the past and the gradual shift in style as they grow up.
